Warnings and reliable information
RCB ALERT and civil defence signals
In a crisis you should receive RCB ALERT SMS with threat information and what to do next. Details appear at gov.pl/rcb and on RCB social channels. A civil defence siren runs three minutes modulated—then follow radio/TV instructions, switch off equipment and gas where advised, and use 112 only when necessary (prefer SMS to say you are safe so lines stay clear). Verify news through official channels; do not spread unconfirmed rumours.
Avoid false information
RCB warns that disinformation is common in crises. Before you act, check whether the source is known, whether trusted media or official administration repeat the message, and whether emotion is driving the story. Use more than one reliable source and resist sharing unverified posts.
