Evacuation backpack

Personal evacuation pack

RCB recommends a separate backpack for each household member, ready to grab. Include a battery radio and spare batteries, torch, whistle, masks, printed local map, compass or GPS, meals for two days, can opener, cutlery, rain jacket, change of clothes, soap and disinfecting gel, cash in small notes, filter water bottle, sleeping bag, rubbish bags, multitool, small crowbar, string and zip ties, pencil and notebook, and key documents (plus a USB drive with scans). Label each pack with name and address; keep kits at home, work, and in the car if you can.
