What to take and where to go

Often it is safest to stay home—follow official advice. If you must leave, plan destination and route (relatives, friends, cabin, or family contact centres). Take warm clothes, phone, cards and cash, some food and drink, ID, medicines, and aids (glasses, hearing aids, mobility aids). Keep vehicle fuel or charge topped up; travel may be slow and chaotic.
